Reasons Blackpink's Born Pink-World Tour Concerts Getting Backlash/Hate, And Why Fans Are Being Disappointed
Blackpink's ongoing third concert world tour to promote their second Korean studio album Born Pink has become a hot topic among fans, not only blink but others too. The group is performing concerts after 2 years break, which started because of the pandemic in 2019 and it's their second full-length album that follows since. Announced in July 2022 for its release in September 2022, followed by the world tour starting in October and would be ending in June 2023. The world tour is scheduled with 36 tour dates covering Asia, North America, Europe, and Oceania and further dates to be added in the future.
Now talking about the concert previews from fans all over who attended the concert or who saw the concert via fancams.
Overall fans had a good review for the group's performance and their justice to fan services from everywhere the group had performed so far. So what seems to be a problem for the fans, is the group's comeback after two years had made fans excited with great expectations, but the long wait had made some fans tired and bitter towards the opening welcome of the group's return with positive energy that they want the group to have a perfect comeback with everything perfect and a little and unintentional mistakes make chaos all over the fandom.
The whole backlash started when people make videos of little mishappenings and unintentional mistakes and create a whole perspective on that part of the story without covering the whole story behind that single clips of performances, and that got the fans who saw those videos angry for being irresponsible after such a long break and not giving what the fans deserve and their insane popularity make them lazy and putting a mess of a performance is a disrespect to the fans.
The K-netizens raise the topic of high prices when a netizen posted about the ticket prices of the concert in Korea, as a Korean artist has this high price for doing a concert in Korea and saying YG is being too much right now, this started a debate between the netizens, while some agreed with the prices being too much high, there were others too who defended while saying "'If you don't like it you don't have to go''
The prices of the concerts seem to trigger some fans too as the concert time is lower than a standard k-pop concert time which is 3 hours, but Blackpink concert seems to have a concert for 2 hours maximum only, that's why they are complaining about the high price of the tickets. Some fans don't mind the price as long as they get to see their favorite idols, but this doesn't seem to be the case for all as they say time should be according to the price.
In all this chaos people also drag the topic of Blackpink's eldest member Kim Jisoo's solo which is due for a long time and fans' anger towards Blackpink's agency YG Entertainment for years in all those rumors and scandals going around this topic seems to resurfaced after Jisso's cover in the concert to the song liar, fans commented their disappointment for not giving Jisso a solo like other members of the Blackpink, and how she is the only one covering other songs in the groups own concert to have a solo performance in the concert.
Although it seems most people give it a negative aspect there's always a side to picture uncovered and unreleased so let's just appreciate the girls and support them for a better future ahead. The performance may have been a little under the weather right now but the support and appreciation must not be compromised given the efforts that are made by Blackpink.
