 J Robert Oppenheimer a Physicist, collaborates with a group of scientists on the Manhattan project, which resulted in the creation of the atomic bomb during the Second World War. "The father of the atomic bomb" was the major contributor to this invention and is based on the biography of Oppenheimer written by Kai Bird. 

Is Oppenheimer a sequel to Trent?

It is safe to say that this would be the sequel to the 12th Century film, but since the movie is based on the biography, considering it a biopic wouldn't be too for either. However, the movie's premise can only be judged once we get a look at this masterpiece.
